Leader: Associate Professor Takuya Tsuzuki
Dr Tsuzuki received a PhD in condensed matter physics from Kyoto University, Japan (ranking here), and a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management from La Trobe University. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK. He was Chief Technology Officer of one of the first nanotechnology companies in Australia (Antaria Ltd) where he contributed to the successful commercialization of the university patents he co-developed. He played a key role in the large scale production and product development of commercial nano-enabled products. For this, he was nominated as a Certified Materials Professional by the Institute of Materials Engineering Australasia Ltd and served as Chair of Materials Australia Nanotechnology Special Interest Group at Materials Australia. He is an internationally recognised expert in nanomaterials and mechano-chemistry.
